Construction machinery exports hit a record high

With the outbreak ravaging the world and the orderly operation of the global equipment manufacturing industry and industrial chain affected, Chinese construction machinery enterprises have overcome numerous difficulties and realized the continuous expansion of overseas projects and other businesses.

The global industrial layout has been further improved, international competitiveness and risk resistance have been further enhanced, and the achievements of globalization have been fruitful. A number of Chinese enterprises have entered the forefront of global construction machinery enterprises.

Meanwhile, the export of construction machinery increased significantly, with the export value reaching 34 billion US dollars, up 62.3% year on year. In the second half of this year, the export volume continued to grow for three consecutive months, exceeding 3.1 billion dollars.

2021 was the year with the largest increase in exports on record. Among them, the export of high-end construction machinery such as large excavators, crawler cranes, electric forklifts and large off-highway dump trucks grew rapidly. Among them, exports to countries along the Belt and Road accounted for 42.4% of the total, up 60.4% year on year.
